The Horizon 2020 programme of the European Commission will support EPC+ - a European project focused on the development and demonstration of EPC-projects ('energy performance contracting') for small and medium sized companies - with a subsidy of 1,4 mio. euro. The proposal EPC+ was submiited in June 2014 and had to compete with hundreds of other European proposals. The European Commission could only support the most excelling ones (about 10%), EPC+ was one of them.
EPC+ will run until 2018, ESCo's and EPC-experts of 11 European countries memberstates - including for instance Germany, Austria, Italy and Ireland - will participate in this EPC innovation and development project. Factor4 is Belgian partner and one of the main initiators of EPC+.
